Welcome!

This is the homepage of the West Midlands Orienteering Association

The Association is affiliated to the British Orienteering Federation (BOF) and covers the counties of Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

The association consists of 7 Open Clubs and 3 University Clubs. The clubs are based in and serve the following areas:

  • Aston University Orienteering Club (AOK)
  • City of Birmingham Orienteering Club (COBOC) - Birmingham
  • Birmingham University Orienteering Club (BUOC)
  • Harlequins Orienteering Club (HOC) - Birmingham, Black Country, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, (parts of) South West Staffs & South Shropshire
  • Malvern and District Orienteers (MADO) - part of HOC - the name says it all.
  • Octavian Droobers (OD) - Coventry & Warwickshire
  • Potteries Orienteering Club (POTOC) - North Staffordshire
  • University of Warwick OC (UWOC) + Ex-Warwick Orienteering Klubb (?EWOK?)
  • Walton Chasers Orienteering Club (WCH) - South Staffordshire
  • Wrekin Orienteers (WRE) - Telford, Shrewsbury & rural Shropshire
  • Wye Valley Orienteers [WYE] - Herfordshire (currently 'dormant')
Arising from historical reasons and country reorganisations there is, however, quite an overlap between the clubs and boundaries are not rigidly fixed!
